Getting back into shape

So i haven't done any serious exercise for 6 years now, So im not about to go run in any marathons however that does not mean i should not do anything at all.

So i decided that i should start off slow and build my own fitness levels back up to what they once where so today i went for a walk round LR lake followed by a job/walk.

To walk round the lake it took 24mins
To Jog/walk it took 18mins 44.95seconds

Just to top off getting back into shape i also preformed 11 sit ups and 4 push ups.

One must take note that you should never push yourself to hard otherwise you can do more harm than good.

Starting this blog

When I moved down to uni to start my computer science degree, I did the stupid thing and excluded exercise from my life, The forms of exercise I used to participate in regularly was Latin and modern ballroom dancing as well as Zen do Kai. I last talked to my sensai I was on uni break visiting my parents and sensai asked if I wanted to come by the dojo and train. I failed to take the offer.

Now its 2010, I haven't done any exercise for years so im starting this blog as motivation to plan and stick to an exercised plan which should improve my general well being and get me out of this rut I find myself in.
